Athletic Trainers

ATHLETIC TRAINERS (ATC) possess a Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited institution, complete clinical affiliations and pass the NATABOC written and practical exam.

ATC's are trained in:

  • Prevention of athletic injuries
  • Recognition, evaluation, and care of athletic injuries
  • Rehab and reconditioning to minimize the risk of re-injury and return the athlete to activity as soon as possible
  • Referral of injured athletes to appropriate medical professionals
  • Administration, including medical and insurance record keeping, documentation and reporting of injuries
  • Education and training of coaches, parents, student trainers, and athletes
