Q. Do I need a prescription to receive therapy?
A. As of May 2004, Ohio citizens no longer require a physician prescription to receive services from a Licensed Physical Therapist. However, certain insurance companies require a prescription for insurance reimbursement. ADVANCED HEALTH will assist you with this matter.
Q. Are all "Physical Therapy" centers similar?
A. Absolutely not! In fact, some facilities market "physical therapy" without even having a Licensed Physical Therapist on staff. ADVANCED HEALTH employs "licensed" clinicians who have advanced training in orthopedic rehabilitation. Most of our "licensed" clinicians are attending post graduate programs.
Q. Does my insurance cover the cost of Therapy?
A. Insurance policies vary. However, most insurance companies cover Physical Therapy including: Medicare, Medicaid, HMO/PPO contracts, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Worker's Compensation, Medical-Legal, Medical Mutual, Anthem and others. We also have private pay arrangements and we accept major credit cards.
Q. How are fees and services established?
A. The type of treatment you need and receive is based professional judgment. Fees are based on treatment selected and the skill/time it takes to provide you with necessary care.
Q. How much will my treatment cost?
