OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
We are pleased to announce that Occupational Therapy Services are now
available at our Advanced Health clinic on Hull Road. Occupational
therapy (OT) will help your patients maximize their independence and
quality of life by improving Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), home
management skills and leisure abilities. We also address energy
conservation, joint protection, upper body function/coordination, and
cognitive-visual-perceptual deficits.
IN-THE-HOME PEDIATRIC & ADULT DIVISIONS
For the past year and half, ADVANCED HEALTH has had the pleasure of providing “In The Home” physical, occupational & speech therapy services to your adult patients. We hope that this service has made it more convenient for those patients having difficulty commuting to an outpatient setting. We are now offering this same In-The-Home therapy service to your pediatric patients. The cancellation frequency throughout the Therapy industry is much higher for pediatric patients than it is for adults, which can negatively impact therapy efforts. Furthermore, families of many pediatric patients are on a limited income and may have difficulty affording the costs associated with the commute to an outpatient setting. As a convenience to your pediatric patients and to promote maximal therapeutic benefit, we are transitioning many Pediatric patients from “on-site” to In-The Home. We will continue to provide the “on site” option for families not having difficulty with the commute and/or cancellations. We hope that our policy will result in more affective intervention as well as more convenience for your patients. If you have any questions pertaining to our adult In The Home or pediatric In The Home therapy divisions, then please contact Chris Wells, PT 419-239-3136 or Jessica Cray, MOT, PSI 419-366-3142 respectively.
